Lost in Time: Settlers of Chornobyl
An older couple lives on the outskirts of the city of Chornobyl, just around 15 kilometres from the exploded 4th Reactor. She, 80, and He, 85, used to be teachers. After the nuclear catastrophe, they stayed behind and lived on in the exclusion zone. He - became a dosimetrist, working for 35 years at a checkpoint. They live a simple life in their grandparents' house: fish in the nearby river, and pick mushrooms in the forest. When war came and Russian troops entered the Chornobyl exclusion zone, they stayed at home. Once again. Never really making the decision. They live in the past and by the past. It seems like the present still hasn't caught up.
